Outlook 2003 and e-mails

Sorry of this has been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer on
Google Groups and Office help is virtually useless - unless I am looking
in the wrong place!

Let me say that I am not used to using any Microsoft e-mail software and
so I need talking to slowly! I am slowly getting tempted to going back
to the software I am familiar with - but it would mean teaching the
others how to use it!

I am running Windows XP with Office Pro 2003 and am trying to set up
Outlook 2003 to take our mail. Computer is

We have 6 users set up on Windows XP and ideally I would like to be able
for each user to receive only their own e-mails based on the ID that
they sign in with.

I am trying to use addresses such as (e-mail address removed),
(e-mail address removed), (e-mail address removed), (e-mail address removed).
(These are the user names in Windows XP) These all access the same
computer!

First problem is that Outlook does not like receiving some mail. The
mail is there (I have seen it on web-mail) but will not download in
Outlook. Some, however, are actually downloading but I cannot see any
pattern or reason!

Any ideas how I am going wrong?

Secondly, how can I direct the mail to the users' individual mailboxes
when I do get it down and then let the mailbox be private to the
individual concerned? (At present it loads down and can be read by any
user!)

Thanks in anticipation!

What happens? Does Outlook just ignore it like it's not there? Does it
start to download and quit? Does it start to download and never finish?
Please be explicit in describing your symptoms.

Each user needs to create an individual mail profile in Control Panel>User
Accounts>Mail>Show Profiles>Add. This will allow each person to have an
individual message store with separate calendars, contacts, inbox, etc.
Unless all accounts are Administrator accounts, it will also prevent each
from ever seeing the others' mail.
