Outlook 2003 add-on toolbars

I have BCM and PDF converter toolbars in Outlook 2003. When Outlook starts, each of these toolbars occupies a full row all by itself. I can reposition the toolbars up, and place them in the same horizontal row as my other toobars, but after an exit/restart, these two toolbars revert to their previous position. is there a way to lock these toolbars in place to avoid the need to move them each time to recover my lost window space?

Both those toolbars are apparently under control by their respective add-ins and do not allow user customization.

I am having this same problem. Is there anyway to just disable the PDF one?
I have tried unchecking it and also going to Add-Ins Manager and COM Add-Ins
but it is not listed there. Can you help me getting it not to show up at
all? Thanks!

Probably the easiest solution would be to remove the utility that added the PDF toolbar.

I am pretty sure it was Acrobat and I don't want to remove that. Is there
another work around? Thanks for your reply!

If it's a COM addin, you can disable it in the registry -- it's probably in the HKLM hive, not HKCU, though. Make a backup first.

Where would I find if it is a COM addin or not. I went to Outlook and it is
not listed under Either Addin and Word doesn't have it listed under
Templates and Addins. Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it!

As I said earlier, you would need to look in the registry -- HKLM\Microsoft\Software\Office\Outlook\Addins. For any particular add-in, check the value of LoadBehavior. If it's 3, it loads on startup. Try setting it to 2 to disable.

Thanks! That seemed to do it. The only thing is now it isn't listed as a
toolbar option. Is there another value I can set that to to have it not run
at startup but still be a toolbar option I can select once and a while?
Thanks again! I really appreciate it!

No, you can't have it both ways. The add-in loads at startup and loads the toolbar then. No addin, no toolbar.

Ok, I'll just stick with no toolbar. Thanks so much for your help!
