outlook 2002 xp Email errors. Help!

I have been trying to set up my outlook 2002 XP email for months now. I have
been using the WURD website to fill in all the information fields but
whenever I try to send a test email it fails and tells me to verify my SSL
and port information. I tried downloading a patch but it still does not
work.
What can I do??
 
Hi,
so maybe you have enabled or disabled the SSL Option in Outlook.
Please check your options under
TOOLS | MAIL ACCOUNT| View or change existing accounts| choose your account|
CHANGE| MORE SETTINGS | ADVANCED
The default port numbers are POP3 100 and SMTP 25
