Outlook 2002 very slow

I installed Outlook 2002. It seems to be very slow compared to its predecessor. Every time I select an email in the list it takes atleast 5 secs to display the email in preview pane

Can someone please help?

Try disabling the integration with Instant Messenger in Tools | Options |
Other and see if that speeds things up.
