I downloaded and installed the new Outlook Xp SP3. I
have xp with all current updates. I use Word to
create/edit my emails. I now get an error message every
time I write a new email--A Program is trying to access e-
mails you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow
this?--However, the program is WORD. Is this a bug in
the update? How do I get rid of this?
Thanks. Stephen

Neither of these sites talk about the fact that you get
this dialog with EVERY EMAIL YOU CREATE. They all talk
about 3rd party stuff that is interacting with Outlook.

But Word should be "trusted" to access the contact list.

Neither site talks about a fix for the problem. I guess
that I will have to remove SP3 to get rid of this.

Michael,

Word is definitely trusted when used as the email editor. Without any 3rd
party software interaction, I am able to create/send new email messages
using Word as my email editor (and not get a security prompt).

Hope this helps.

It's not word, but a word addin or template you have installed - acrobat's
or palm's addin or template is usually the cause but any Word addin or
template that is in the startup folder may cause it. Remove the template
from Word's startup folder and it should be fine.

I do have Acrobat Professional installed, but I took the
PDFMaker.dot out of the C:\Documents and
Settings\mramm\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP
right away.

I don't know what Palm installs to affect Word.

Now there is NOTHING in the folder above.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Michael

the palm template may depend on the sync software. look in Words tools,
addins... is there anything listed in the lower box.
