Outlook 2002, PAB

Michael Gonzalez

I have several users who are unable to update their
Personal Address Book. They want to change an existing
email address and everytime they try it fails to save the
new info. PAB file was created in Outlook 97. I can't
find anything related to this problem. I was hoping
someone might have experienced the same thing. Thanks

Is there a reason why the users are still using the PAB format with Outlook
2002? Really it's a rather outdated format -- the Outlook Address Book,
which is just a separate view of the Contacts folder, has been the primary
address book in Outlook for several versions now. It may be worth it for
these users to migrate their PAB data to the OAB. More information and
instructions can be found at http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/olconpab.htm.
Perhaps it will help solve the problems your users are having.
