I have updated, repaired, detect and repaired but continue to get Outlook not
responding when I try to open any e-mail.
My pst files are in MyDocuments
Documents and Settings\Lou\local settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
Documents and Settings\My last name\MyDocuments

Using MS XP PRO
Microsoft Office XP Pro

When does this happen? On opening? Opening mail? Selecting a contact?
Trying to set up an appointment? On closing?

We need to know this information before anyone can help you.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, LouA asked:

Thank you for reply, my e-mail is viruse protected and anything of suspect is
usually blocked.
When I try to open and e-mail is usually the time it happens. Outlook in
itself opens OK, opening e-mail results in the "not responding" as e-mail
hangs up. If I end task and re-open Outlook, delete that particular message
and go to another, e-mail I still get same results. I hope that this is clear
