Outlook 2002 is hanging in all modes

Help! Outlook 2002 was working fine on Friday. But, when I tried to open it
yesterday, it just hangs. I had to cancel it and cancel the dump (because it
was taking 100% of CPU time and ran for a long time and still didn't finish).
When I tried Outlook again, it tried to open in safe mode. It asked me to
pick a profile (I had 2) and hang again after I picked it. Again, I have to
cancel. When I tried Outlook the third time, it tried to repair. After
repair, it tried to open in safe mode, asked for the profile, then hang agin.
I went through this cycle several times. Can someone tell me what to do?
Thanks.

Unfortunately, I had tried some of the suggestions in the link already and
they didn't work. I went ahead and did it again step by step. But, it is
still hanging in regular and safe mode. Even after repairing, it still hung.

What did you do/change on your computer on Friday?
Does Outlook work when you logon as a different user?
What is being logged to the Event Viewer?

I was afraid of that. On Fri evening, I loaded MS C++, C#, Web Developement,
Visual Basic (all 2008 Express Editions). It also loaded a portion of SQL
Server 2005 express.

I only have one acct on the computer so I can't logon as someone else. I
have 2 profiles in Outlook because I have 2 separate email accounts (work and
home).

I looked at the events log and I see calls issued by MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS with
event id 17895 (but there are information). When I started Outlook after
cancelling it, I see an error Microsoft Office 10 event id 2000, accepted
safe mode action: microsoft outlook. I am still hanging, so, I cancel out of
Outlook Safemode and tried opening it again. This triggered the repair
action which said successful but Outlook is still hanging.

Surely you can create a new user just for testing purposes?
It would help in determining troubleshooting your computer configuration or
your user account configuration.

I am at a lost as to what happened. I created another XP account, logged in,
watch it install Outlook, added in the email profile, and everything worked
fine. So, I logged out of the new XP account and back to my regular XP
account and tried opening Outlook and it worked. I have no idea why it
worked. All my emails are there for both email accounts. Any idea why it
started working?
