Outlook 2002 (Hotmail)

I have a hotmail account setup in Outlook, I can recieve
e-mail but I can't open it. When I try to open an e-mail
Outlook restarts.

Any ideas?

Any error messages? What is logged to the Event Viewer?

All the error message said was:

"Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

The following was in event viewer...

I see your version of Outlook is not up to date yet. See if it still occurs
after applying Service Pack 3 available through Office Update
