Outlook 2002 Headers and Footers

With Outlook 2000, I was able to route an email to an RTF file that I could
then open with Word and insert headers and footers before saving it as a Word
document. With Outlook 2002, the RTF (or DOC) file created from the email
source does not provide the option to insert headers and footers when the
file is opened with Word.

Does anyone know of a workaround to permit headers and footers to be
inserted into the Word document created from an Outlook 2002 email? Thanks.

Here is an answer to my own question.

Cut and paste the Word document into a blank Word document that was not
opened originally with Outlook 2002 or Outlook 2003. Headers and trailers
will be available.
