Outlook 2002: Can not open .msg file attachment

I can not open a .msg email attachment within a email message any more.
It was working, then stopped suddenly. There must be some setting that got
changed. I even saved the .msg file to my c: drive and tried to open it from
there. I see it started Outlook but the file does not open. Any suggestions
would be appreciated.

I don't know what this means, but when I open Outlook in Safe Mode, my
problem goes away. When I open Outlook in regular mode, my problem is still
there.

Nothing happens when I double click the .msg file or right click and
select open.

What happens if you start Outlook and then drag the file from Windows
Explorer into an Outlook folder?

It means, geneally, that one of your add-ins is causing a problem. What
add-ins do you have? (Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options>COM Add-ins and
Add-In Manager)

Disable Google Desktop Search and try again.

I removed Google Desktop Search from Com Add-in and I still can't open an
email within an email. I backed my files, then uninstalled Office, then
reinstalled Office and I still have the problem. I've run all kinds of
anti-virus, spyware, adware software I can think of.
Any other ideas?

Brian,
I uninstalled Google Desktop Search and that was causing my problem.
It WORKS now. Thank you so much for your help!
