windows xp sp2 is supposed to have antivirus features that outlook express
can make use of.

Does this apply to outlook? Does it mean that you don't need antivirus
software?

No, it doesn't.

No, it doesn't. What it does have, is the new Security Center, which will
check _if_ you have anti-virus software installed on your computer and
what its status is.
