outlook 2002 and 2003 will not run

I am running XP with 2002 on one computer and 2003 on another each with their
own pst file. Beginning last night, both versions would open and then
"encouter an error and have to close". Strange that this happened with both
totally unrelated devices and versions at the same time. I am wondering if
their is a recent windows update that is causing a conflict?
