Outlook 2002 & 2003

I am running 2002 0n my desktop and 2003 on my laptop.
I have notice that i can not seem to copy a pst file from 2003 to 2002. I am
going to install 2003 on my desktop but am i going to have a problem
importing my back up pst file when i do?

OUtlook 2003 can open and use both Outlook 98/2002 ANSI .PST files as well
as Outlook 2003 Unicode .PST files, so there should be no trouble using your
2002 file. Note that you DO NOT want to import it, simply re-use it or open
it and copy everything into the new Unicode .PST file.

I understand about 2003 being able to handle 2002 files but am i right in
assuming that 2002 cant handle 2003 files?

That is correct. Unicode PSTs are not compatible with Outlook 2002 or
earlier.

Thks for the response, i thought so.
When i upgrade my old 2002 to 2003, how do you suggest i copy my 2002 back
up pst file to the 2003?
I have about 3000 contact files i need to keep.

Outlook 2003 is compatible with OUtlook 2002 and can read all files saved in the ansi .pst format.
