Outlook 2002 - Abnormal Program Termination when starting Outllook

I have Windows XP Home Edition & Outlook 2002. I'm also running Norton
Internet Security 2004 software (NIS2004). Whenever I switch windows users
then open Outlook, I get this error:

runtime error! program:c\programs\microsoft/office10/outlook.exe
abnormal program termination.

I believe this error is being caused by NIS2004, because I didn't get the
error until after I installed the Norton software. They haven't provided me
with a fix.

Hasn't anybody else encountered this error? Is there a fix for it?

I have the same problem and have not been able to find a
fix... It also started after installing Norton Internet
Security 2004.
 
I wonder if Symantec or Microsoft is working on a fix. I checked both
websites, found nothing.

It would be up to Symantec to fix whatever bugs they have. In the meantime
try disabling the inline email scanning in Norton and see if that helps.
