outlook 2000 won't open

Hi I hope someone can help.

I am using outlook 2000 with Win XP Professionals.

Today it crashed and now only goes as far as the splash screen before I
get the XP error report screen - I followed the instructions there but
it doesn't specify which update fixes the problem and the active x
controls don't pop up on my system.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the problem persists.

Please Help.

Try deleting or renaming the file outcmd.dat.
