Outlook will be sending email then stop and even if I click
send/receive it won't resume. I have to close the program then go into
taskmanager and stop the process OUTLOOK.EXE from running. After
restarting it'll download and send my email. This just recently
started in the past few weeks. Does anyone know why this is happening
and how I can fix it.

Thanks,
Chris

One possibility is that an add-in like the mail scanning portion of an
antivirus program is interfering. If the autoupdate feature of that AV
program installed an update that isn't well-behaved (more common that one
might think), then you could see this behavior.

If you have an AV program that scans mail, disable that feature in the AV
program. Some AV programs (like those from Symantec, like Norton AV) may
require uninstalling and reinstalling without the mail scanning feature in
order to truly disable the option.
