Outlook 2000 toolbar customization problem

§

§meagol

Having installed office 2003 I decided I wanted to return to 2000. Outlook
opens with my customized toolbar the 1st time after a re-boot but
subsequently defaults to the standard buttons. I have tried system restore
but this makes no difference. Is there a fix for this?

TIA

you should delete the outcmd.dat file and start over. also, if you are using
the same profile you used in 2003, make a new one.

Did as you said. Had to export my files, then load an older copy, import
the exported file and all works well now.

Many thanks for your help.

Never export to or import from a PST. It's never necessary and can lose
data.

Why? It worked perfectly.

As I said, importing does not handle all the data in a PST. You will lose
some. Some people encounter mail profile corruption as well when importing.
