Lost Outlook 2000 Custom Toolbar

For some reason, I opened Outlook 2000 today (we are also on Exchange Server
2000) and the custom toolbar I created is gone. The customization I did to
the Advanced and Standard toolbars is still there as well as a few Macros I
created. How can I get this toolbar back? Any ideas on what would have
caused this so I can avoid it in the future?

Unfortunately, you may not be able to get it back. Toolbar customizations
are saved in a file called outcmd.dat, and that file is prone to corruption.
Once it's corrupted, you may see toolbars go missing, or changes undone --
they may reappear later, or they may not. There's no way to fix it once it
becomes corrupted; your only option is to delete it or rename it and let
Outlook recreate the default toolbars. After that, if you make
customizations, they should stick and you can back up that file so it can be
restored if the corruption ever occurs again. Macros are not stored in the
outcmd.dat file -- they're stored in a file called VbaProject.otm.

If you're using Windows 2000 or XP, you'll need to search in hidden and
system folders to find the outcmd.dat file.
