I'm using Outlook 2000 with Windows XP. All the critical windows updates
have been done (except for WXP SP2) and I have also completed all the office
updates.
Outlook will not close down when I exit the software. Either if I try to
exit the program through the file drop down menu or if I select Exit and
Logoff, the main window closes but a smaller window remains informing me that
Outlook is closing however it's still open in task manager. In fact it goes
into "not responding" after I try to close it.

Any ideas on what may be causing this?

See if something here helps:

Thanks Brian.

I tried this and it still didn't help. I think the problem may be with the
mailbox itself as when I log onto another computer I get the same problem. I
think there may be a corruption somewhere in the mailbox but I'm not sure how
I can find the corrupted entry and remove it.

Any thoughts?
