Outlook 2000 on Office XP

I'm tech support for a select group of people and would like to know if anyone has heard of compatibility issues with Outlook 2000 and Office XP. My users have been having problems with their OL2K unable to connect to server, although everyone else can and the fix has been to upgrade the users to WinXP. The problem is that leadership does not like the look and feel of Outlook 2003, or we would have the OS, Outlook, and Office all on the same version. I'm basically looking for a resource of compatibility issues with Outlook 2000 with the other programs (Win2k and OfficeXP). Thanks in advance.

If you do not have matching versions of Outlook and Word, users cannot use
WordMail, mail merge to email, and the File | Send To command in Word (and
other Office programs).

FYI, the version of Outlook in Office XP is 2002, not 2003. It looks the
same as OL2000.
