outlook 2000 error

Yesterday I used my my outlook
Today, everytime I try to open it, it gives me an error message and says it
has to close. I have rebooted, turned off and on, several times...tried to
access outlook through "search and explore" ... same message

when I look into the error details it tells me that I need to upgrade

Have you found a solution to this as I am experiencing the same issue. Have
tried everything I possibly can to correct the issue without luck - other
than upgrading.
