Outlook 2000 error msg

I just started to get this error msg in outlook.
"You don't have the appropriate permission to perform this operation".
It appears when I try to delete emails from inbox.
It is on my home pc. I am the only one on it.
As far as I know, I didn't change anything on it.
It never happened before.
What is it?

Empty your Deleted Items folder and/or use scanpst.exe to scan your pst-file
for errors.
Also; how big is your pst-file?
 
Ok, I found scanpst.exe but all I was able to scan was my backup, which i
created. Where is the pst within outlook.
BTW the backup pst came back clean, when I scanned it.

I found the pst in outlook and it came back 'no errors"
I don't know what to do.
