Outlook 2000 emails

Subsequent to forwarding or replying to an email, deleted emails still appear
in he inbox, and they also appear in the deleted folder. I have to reboot the
computer to be able to delete read emails. Any idea what the solution is to
this problem?

you work with a PST file and not with Exchange, right?

How big is your PST file?

Did you try to repair the PST file with scanpst?
