I'm running Outlook 2000. I was moving my information to
a new PC. When I exported the PST file it didn't export
my contacts. Unfortunately I 'selected all' and deleted
them from my old pc. They are not showing up in 'deleted
items', am I out of luck? Thanks in advance.

Why did you export?
Just reuse the old PST.
That way you can't lose data like this.

Yes I realize that now. But it's a little too late for
that in my situation.
Is there anyway to get the information back that anyone
knows of? Thank you.

If you deleted the original PST file after you did the export, no.

I have the original PST file, and did not delete it. The
items are not showing up in the 'deleted items' area
though, and I DID NOT 'empty deleted items'.
Thanks.

Now, just place the *.pst file in My Documents, then in
Outlook, choose File, Open, Personal Folders File
(.pst...). Under Look in, select the *.pst you placed in
My Documents and click OK. In your Outlook program, make
sure you click on View, Folder List. You should see the
contents of your *.pst. Good Luck.
