Outlook 2000 can not resize message window

Bob

PC: Toshiba Tecra 8100, WIN98SE, Outlook 2000

Problem: When emails are opened, the window is very
small. Any attempt to resize the window causes the system
to lock up. Messages can be viewed in the preview pane and
even printed without a problem. Outlook is working
properly, except for the inability to resize the message
windows. This problem is also when the user goes to
compose an email, the window is small and any attempt to
resize locks up the pc.

Attempted resolutions:
Remove and recreate outlook profile.- No change
Removed mail.oft and email.oft- No change
Removed and reinstalled Outlook- No change
Logged onto pc as different user and set email
under that logon- Problem persisted.

As always, any advise would be greatly appreciated.

My guess is a video driver.
