Outlook 2000 archive does not work

Greetings,

I've recently setup outlook on a Toshiba laptop running WinXP pro SP2, which
I use at work. I've tried to use the archive feature in File without any
success. I see that archive starts working and then appears to stop, without
archiving any e-mails. An archive.pst file was created, however, it's empty.
Any help will be appreciated.
