Outlook 2000 and .PST files

Hi,

I am running Outlook 2000 (sp3) in an Exchange environment. My domain is
windows 2003/windows 2000. I have a PST file that is stored on a file server
(windows 2000) in a directory that has security as the following:

Folder security:

domain\administrator Full
domain\user (that owns the file) Full

PST File Security:

domain\administrator Full
domain\user (that owns the file) Full

Today the end user complained that they could not copy emails from their
exchange inbox to their password protected pst file. The security has not
changed, and I am not sure what else to check. The PST file size is 675MB.
Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Chris

Keep in mind that Microsoft does not support and advises against PSTs on
file servers.

And the error message was...?

I guess that would help. I am not getting an error message, but what is
happening is the program 'hangs' and stops responding. The only way to
recover is to close via the Task Manager. It appeared at first that it was a
security issue (unable to write to the pst file), but I have made sure that
the appropriate rights are in place (or appear to be). Thanks.
