Outlook '03 will not send/receive after Hibernation

When I restart my laptop (fujitsu, 1.99, 1gb memory) from hibernation,
Outlook will not send/receive until XP Home has been restarted. It used to
be fine, then it would not send/receive if it was left on when hibernation
started. Now it won't do it at all.
 
I am using Outlook (Office) 2003. The program "freezes" from receiving
emails after hibernation of the computer. Once that happens, Outlook will
NOT receive messages unless I shut down my computer and restart. Everything
then works fine until the laptop hibernates again.
