Outlook 03 Restarts after I save a Calendar entry. HELP

Guest

Each time I try to set an appointment I get a message that automaticly
restarts the Outlook program and does not save my appointment.

This happens anytime I save an entry, timed or all day events, it does not
matter.

I have tried to re-install the program and that did not work.

Any input would be appreciated.

What is the exact error message? Have you tried Detect and Repair? A new
mail profile? Uninstalling and reinstalling seldom, if ever, solves the
problem

Milly,

Thank you for your help. Yes I have tried Detect and Repair and it did not
solve my problem. The mistake I made here is that I choose to reset my
settings to their original settings and when I did I lost all my contacts,
email, folders everything. I then re-installed the Outlook program and as you
stated it did not solve the problem.

I read in a Microsoft community that you can rename 3 files as old and
Outlook would prompt you to creat a new user. The problem there was the the
file named Outcmd.dat was missing from my computer. Could this be my problem?

Is there any way to get all my old data back?

Thanks again,

outcmd.dat is only created when you customize a toolbar or setting.

To get your contacts et al back -

did you try the cleanfreebusy or cleanreminders switches?
