Automatic Formatting for Calendar Entries

L

Lisa

I would like to have different colours for each of the calendar entry types.
I understand that I probably need to select View, Current View, Customize
Current View and select the Automatic Formatting button but it is looking for
a condition. I don't want to enter something like a specific word in the
entry to identify it as for example an appointment. I simply want Outlook to
see I am creating an appointment and make it blue. Is this possible?

Thanks

Thanks so much Diane, but I am confused. Do you mean go into View, Current
View, Customize Current View and select the Automatic Formatting button and
then do something perhaps under the Advanced tab?

Yes, you need to add the 'message class' field in autoformatting. For the
form, enter appointment or meeting - partial word should work.

Note that if this is in outlook 2007, and you have categories assigned, they
take precedence over autoformatting colors.
