Outlook '03 Mail Notification Icon Missing (??)

K

Keith

My e-mail notification icon in Outlook '03 refuses to appear in the task
bar.

I've gone to: Tools > Options > Preferences > E-Mail Options > Advanced
E-Mail Options and checked the "Show an envelope icon in the notification
area" box with NO luck :~(

Can someone advise me to what I'm missing here?

Thanks...Keith

Are your incoming messages going to your default Inbox?

If this is Windows XP you might just have that icon hidden. Right-click on
the Start button in the Windows Taskbar, select Properties, Select the
Taskbar tab, select Customize and then select the icon "you have new
unopened items". Set it to "always show".

Right-click on the Start button in the Windows Taskbar, select
Properties, Select the Taskbar tab, select Customize and then select
the icon "you have new unopened items". Set it to "always show".

And then lock the Taskbar because I've seen cases where the "always show"
can get turned off otherwise without you explicitly doing it.
