Outlook 03 Default Email Client pops up 56 IE windows....

When I click on an emilalink in a web page instead of outlook opening for me
to send an email it pops of 56 IE window and says that their is an error with
my defult email clinet.

I have already checked the obvious setting in outlook and IE both are
correctly set. I must have a registry error.

Can some one please help

Reset your Internet applications settings and try again;
Control Panel-> Internet Options-> tab Programs
for IE7-> tab Advanced

OK...so I walked through your steps...I made th changes so I can get to the
mail to key but it will not allow me to add the URL Protocol...I get an error
msg

Can not compleet because the default email clinet is not set up
correctly....I tried resetting the web settings, tried selecting another
email client applying and then going back and selecting outlook and applying,
tried the suggestion Brian posted in other thread but that fix wont' stay.....

In the file folder file type section it is now listed but there is no open
option and ehnw I try to add that it just disppears
