Outline Numbered Bullets

I have applied Outline Numbers with Heading 1 Heading 2 etc to a document.
Whithin the document there are some other bulleted lists. I want to remove
the Outline Numbers.
I have tried clickin in the document and selecting None from the Outline
Numner Gallery which only removes the number from the line the cursor is in.
I have tried selecting the whole document and selecting None from the
Gallery but that removes all numbers and bullets.

Is there a simple way of removing the Outline Numbering and the associated
styles that are displayed in the Styles list?

For each style which should no longer be numbered/bulleted, display
the Modify Style dialog box
(http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styles/ModifyAStyle.html) and then
click Format>Numbering; in Bullets and Numbering, choose the "None"
option.
