Outgoing emails

Please I have symantec Anti virus 2003 and I'm using outlook express for
emails so everytime I send e-mail the antivirus scan it. I need to disable
this and let it scan only the incoming e-mails. any help I appreciated

This has nothing to do with XP. Open up Norton and go to the e-mail scanning
options and disable outgoing mail scan.

Use the same solution for McAfee Anti virus email checking.

Hi,

My version of Norton doesn't have that option all it says is email scanning,
so you can't disable outgoing email scanning, I have version 2005.

Have you looked under the 'options' button, then the 'internet' box and
e-mail? There should be a box that says 'what to scan' where you can choose
to turn on or off incoming and/or outgoing mail.
