Outbox/Sending emails

I am receiving emails just fine; however, my outbox the emails just sit
there. I have attempted a send/receive multiple times. I do not see an
error message and it appears as though the send task does not complete. I
have not been able to send emails for a month. I contact service provider
and everything on their end - checks out OK. Please help.

If there is an accumulation of messages in the Outbox folder, open
the Outbox folder. Move as many of those messages as you can to
the Drafts folder. If any message can't be moved or deleted, apply this Microsoft fix:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090

Although that article only mentions Outbox, it works for all mail folders.

Incidentally, that fix was also included in Vista's SP1, so if you haven't
installed that, you are way overdue.

Once you have emptied the Outbox, can you send a new test message?
If not, and there is no error, which antivirus are you running? Some of them
cause problems with Windows Mail over time.
