Links in outlook email, now no longer open in internet explorer

Have been running office 2003 with no probs on win xp sp1 for some
time now

earlier today I upgraded an addin for excel 2003

when I came to look at an email in outlook 2003, I decided to open the
link as usual in internet explorer

error
was asked for the program to use to open this link
couldnt remember where IE was located and went to c/pf/netscape
instead

when I then clicked the link, netscape said it didnt support 'outbind'

searched for outbind in ms office help but got nowhere

ran detect and repair to no avail

can anybody help me to get to my normal ?

no its not

and I have always made sure I ticked the box to get IE to check to see
if it is the default browser

after some extensive follow up and can now say the problem appears to
be much simpler that I feared

there's an error in the code of the link in the email!
other links in other emails work fine

sorry if I created any extra work

but thanks for your response

Is Netscape your default browser?
