Out send and receive

I believe i have my setting correct but I must select the send and receive
button everytime to update my received emails. This is a big problem I would
like for it to be automatic and random as needed.
 
What version of outlook are you using? You probably need to define your
send/receive settings. In outlook 2003 ->tools->send/receive->send receive
settings->define send/receive groups. There you can have it sent immediately
and receive every minute or what ever you want.
