Out of Office Reply

We have Outlook Express 6.0. We are not using Outlook
with a Microsoft Exchange Server so we do not have the
out of office assistant option. Outlook is not installed
with the Corporate or Workgroup option. I want to send
an email reply to people when I am out of the office - I
will be out for 18 days and need to figure out a way to
make this work. I tried Message Rules and it ended up
sending a message to everyone in my Inbox. Quite
embarrassing. There is no Rules Wizard or option to check
or reply to messages when they arrive. HELP!!! What can
I do?

While Debbie's suggestion will work, you should also realize that every
piece of spam you receive while you are gone will automatically get a reply
and confirm that your address is a good one.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
