Out of Office but not for Spam

Our company is marking the spam messages with <spam> in the subject line. I
want to setup and out of office message but not to be sent to the messages
with <spam> in the subject line. I have tried setting up rules with Out of
office wizard but it send the out of office first before running the rules.
Is there any way of doing this? Thanks.

We have Exchange 2003 running in the background.
