Out of office autoresponse

Hi everyone

I have XP Pro and use Outlook 2003 to access e-mail from my ISP and a
breathe.com account. The ISP is Demon and I'm working at home behind a
router. I don't have Exchange Server. Is it possible for me to set up an
out of office autoresponse on my laptop? I've done some research and
everything that I've seen mentions Exchange Server (whatever that is!) and
it seems to relate to organisations that pay a license fee for it's use.
I'm a private individual who is connected to the internet throughout most of
the day and I simply want incoming e-mails to have an automatic response so
I can respond formally at my leisure.

If I can't do this within my laptop, I assume that I could ask Demon and
also get it done by breathe.com? Ideally, I'd like to do whatever is
necessary at my laptop level as I am likely to have other e-mail addresses
set up for me (likely to be a Compuserve address) that I pull into Outlook.
If I could set up the out of office autoresponse at this level, I wouldn't
have to repeat any setup (and cancel it!) with the individual providers with
whom I have an email address.

I hope that what I've said makes sense and someone can help!

Thank you for the rapid response. I shall have to investigate rules as I
have never used them.

I'll post back if I don't make any progress - unless anyone has any
favourite sites/tips they can give me to nudge me in the right direction!
