Out of Office Assistant not working

Hello,

I'm trying to get Out of Office Assistant working on one client running
Outlook 2003 on an SBS 2003 network. I have used the assistant and checked
that I am out of the office but no messages are sent..........Is there any
other area that needs configured? I have opened and closed Outlook and I do
get a message stating that "Out of Office is currently turned on"....

Thanks!

Is the address you're using to test the OOA an internal or an external
address?

Actually I have tested both internal and external with no luck for
either.......I have not made any configuration changes in Exchange

Sorry, internal "does" work.........external "does not" work.

That's the way it's supposed to be and is the default Exchange configuration
so as to prevent mail loops. You have to modify an Exchange setting if you
want OOA replies to external addresses. You can ask about that in the
Exchange newsgroup --
