Out of Office (2003) Assistant not prompting to turn off

S

Stu

I have one user in Outlook 2003 for which the the Out of Office Assistant
will not give me an automatic reminder to turn off the Out of Office
Assistant upon Outlook startup. The "turn off" prompt was working some weeks
ago for the user but not recently. How do I restore the "turn off" prompt?

I've got a handful of users, including myself, that have the same problem if
they just log off. If they restart the computer, it'll prompt them when they
start Outlook.

We tell the users to log off only so we can update at night, but I just
advise these users to restart after they've set an out of office.

I wish I knew how to fix it, but the workaround works for us.

Hi,

Please observe the Disabled Items underneath the Help > About Microsoft
Office Outlook menu.
The OoO is part of the Add-ins which somehow get disabled every once in a
while. :-S

You can re-enable it under Tools > Options > Other tab > Advanced Options >
Add-in Manager.

Hope this solves your issue!!!
