Out of Memory in Microsoft Works 7.0

J

jslow

Hi,

I just started getting the following error message when I try to Print
Review a Spread Sheet created in Microsoft Works 7.0:

"Microsoft Works
Out of Memory
Save or close any open files or applications
OK"

This happens even if I only have the Spread Sheet open with no other
application open.

Any suggestions for a solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Pagefile size is?
Amount of free memory as reported by Task Manager?

My inclination is that your system needs more RAM, but I can't be sure from
just what you have posted.

Try this fix from Microsoft. It is listed for Works 8, but should also work for version 7
It fixed a customers problem just like yours.

Hi Richard,

The fix from MS that you suggested will not update MS Works 7.0 Spreadsheet.

Thanks

Hi Jim,

I currently have 1 GB of RAM. I have not been getting any out of memory
errors in the past. I just started getting them with the MS Works 7.0
Spreadsheet.

To prevent losing what's on this spreadsheet, I copied & pasted this
particular spreadsheet into a Word document and then printed it without any
problem.

Thanks.

That one spreadsheet may have been damaged during a Save operation. You
might copy/paste the data to another spreadsheet and see if that one
works. BTW, you might get better answers in a Works or Works7 ng where
those experts hang out. This could be a known issue..

Your original post stated that you have 512 MB RAM. Now, you state that you
have 1GB. If you have 1 GB, but the system only reports 512 MB, then you
have a memory problem whether this is the root cause of your problem or not.
