I found this link by searching http://www.google.com for the words
"hotmail" and "outlook".:

http://www.microsoft.com/australia/worksmart/articles/hotmailoutlook.aspx

This was just the first link I came too. I did not look very hard at any
of the other links that came up.

Unless you have a pay account, I thought Microsoft was going to stop
people from using Outlook or Outlook Express to check email at Hotmail?

Did find this link (watch wrap):

Looks like it might be for new users?

AFAIK, up to and including Outlook 2000 you cannot synchronize with Hotmail,
but you can with Outlook Express. You would need to convert it to POP3 to
read into Outlook 2000. I previously used Hotpop which was freeware but I
think is now shareware. There may be a last freeware version available for
download somewhere, but I think there are other programs that will also
achieve this.. Don't know URLs but maybe the better informed than I can
provide links.

I Outlook 2003 you can just add a new account, using the wizard, specify
'Hotmail' and follow the instructions, similar to OE. This then adds a new
set of hotmail folders to your Personal Folders and synchronizes with
hotmail.

Microsoft are threatening to make this a paid for service for 'security
reasons'.

Frankly, I wouldn't bother with it and just get an invitation for Gmail,
which you can POP anywhere for free!

Sorry some of this is OT for this group :-(
