I recently updated to Outlook 2003.

I tried to install Backup 2003.

I get the error message, must remove old version, answer yes to the next
question.
I answer yes, I get the error message uninstall via Control Panel.
I don't have the old version in the control panel.

How do I un-install and or install XP/2003.

You checked the Add/Remove Programs applet dialogue?

There is no sign of it in add/remove in the control panel
