When I try to erase ot delete a message in Outlook 2000 I get a message that
reads "The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart outlook." I have restarted and it doesn't help. I also
can not send an email. Any help to correct this?

Hello Robert:

I tried your suggestion and it is still doing the same thing. I receive
messages from my comcast email to outlook 2000. It almost apears as if it is
not integrated with my comcast email. Does that do anything for you?

I have tried restarting and reopening Outlook 2000 and still the same
problem. When I try to send out an email I get the following message."Unable
to connect to server. smtp.comcast.net. (error Number 0x800ccc0e) Does that
tell you anything that might help?

That is another issue than the Interface Error you reported earlier.
Verify that you have all Office and Windows updates installed and try again.

Additionally, if you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook,
disable this integration and try again.

I turned off all of my McAfee anti virus and my Zone Alarm firewall and ran
this. Still having the same problem. Any other suggestions?
