Other ways to see website history?

I always go to Internet Options and delete my history, temporary internet files, and cookies after being on the internet. However, I recently did this and the next day someone was still able to find out the websites I went to and the time of day I went to them. I am certain I did delete the history, etc.

I know that ".dat" files contain the websites visited, so I downloaded System Security Suite so that I can delete those. However, when I viewed the ".dat" files using a Winspy viewer that I also downloaded, there was no time of day given next to the website names. SO, I don't think the person who saw my website tracks viewed them through examining the ".dat" files, since no time of day is given with those.

SO, my question is: Are there any other files or ways to find out website history that I might be overlooking?

(Also, as a side note, I noticed that when I go to Internet Options and delete the history, temporary files, and cookies, and then use the Winspy viewer, it shows the ".dat" files deleted as well. I thought that they could only be deleted using a program like System Security Suite, but simply deleting the Internet Options stuff seemed to do the same thing as running the entire System Security Suite).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Phil,

Suggestions and Checkpoints.....

Clearing History May Not Remove Pages You Visited Today in Internet Explorer
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q323687

Clear IE History, AutoComplete, Clear the TIF, Clear the RunMRU, Typed URL's
and Clear List (depending on which Start Menu you are using): Right click
the Start button/Properties/Customize/Advanced/Recent Documents/Clear List.

Temp Files: IE/Tools/Internet Options/Delete Temporary Internet Files
Temp Files: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp & TIF
Cookies: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Cookies
History: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\History

A small utility I created that clears certain History Lists

Clear Recent File Lists - Includes Search and Run Menu (Line 41)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Removes your Internet history in Internet Explorer. Clears the address list
drop-down, cached files, history and cookies. In Windows it clears the TEMP
folder and Recycle Bin, the run history, recent documents, and find files
history. It also deletes locked files ("index.dat" and files that are in
use by applications).

I used to run Norton personal firewall,One of the options was to review history or some similar wording when viewed it showed all website visited for the past 30 days or so.Perhaps your firewall has something of the like as well.

I do the same thing but after I go to the temp folder and usually everything
is still sitting there eventhough I deleted everything the same as you did.

If you are on a Corporate network, it's not your PC that is
revealing your browsing habits. George Orwell couldn't have
conceived what "They" watch & monitor. The only thing that's
missing is a fellow named No.2 and a Weather balloon bouncing
down the isles between the cubicles.

Every email, Web site and sometimes keystrokes can be
captured/logged for later review. Sometimes you won't even
know about it until the "Exit Interview" with Human Resources.

They'll download you to the local Unemployment Office.

One of the biggest tip-offs, is downloads and installs of tools
to Cleanup/Hide the things you are describing.
