Other User's Folder Issue

I read your post and have a question. Are you able to use
inter-office email (not through the Internet) with Outlook
2000 without using Exchange Server software installed on a
dedicated machine? I want to be able to do this and don't
know much about Outlook 2000 yet. I have a peer-to-peer
network that will be switched over to Windows 2000 at the
same time as the Outlook 2000 software is installed.

You must have a mail server to send and receive mail. There are a number of low-cost (maybe even free) servers that can connect to the Internet and do interoffice mail as well. See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002/missing.htm#collab for a few that other people have recommended to me.
