Good Evening Folks:
Let's try this one on for size. Whenever I open my contacts in Windows Mail
and click an address, I do not get the composing screen. Instead I get a
message saying: "Windows Mail could not be started because another instance
of it is running on your computer". It then goes on to tell me that I should
log off Mail and restart it and, failing that, to shutdown my computer and
restart it. To save a few suggestions; I have done this many times (not
because of this bug, but a normal once a week computer "rest period". I
initially thought it was because I had, perhaps, run the program as an
administrator and as a non-administrator. But, since I have had to wipe my HD
and reload Vista on a couple of occasions, I have been careful to only open
it as an administrator. The problem remains. I can work around it by going
through my contacts in Explorer or from my desktop. I sometimes get the
message in these locales, but the composing window will still open. It's not
a biggie...simply an annoyance. Any suggestions?
